Esports Room

The Esports room is open during the following hours from the months of September – May.

Sunday: 11am – 8pm

Monday: 9am – 10pm

Tuesday: 9am – 10pm

Wednesday: 9am – 10pm

Thursday: 9am – 10pm

Friday: 9am – 9pm

Saturday: 11am – 9pm

During the Summer the Esports room is Closed for maintenance.

All DAPER members with access to our facilities are able to reserve the space.

Once you have your time reserved and have ensured that your account has a credit card on file (see how to add card on file below if necessary) you will receive further communication regarding access to the room for your booking.

Please leave and lock the door to the Esports room when your time is up. If you fail to return the key to its location, then your group will be charged $100 for each day the key is missing.

We will have some advertised intramural Esport tournaments that will be free for everyone to join.  However students will also have the ability to reserve the room for themselves if they would like to play video games with their friends on a 130 inch screen.

The cost for students is $5 / hour.  We are trying our best to keep the cost as low as possible while also retaining some finances from each use to replace equipment as needed.

We currently have three systems in our Esports room…

Unfortunately not, you will have to play the games that we currently have in the Esports room.  You will also not have access to the PS5 or Switch hardware besides the controllers.

Unfortunately not, we are trying our best to keep this space as clean as possible please do not bring in food or drinks of any kind.

• Turn off the systems being used with the controllers.
• Turn off the projector with it’s remote.
• Make sure the standing classic arcade is turned off.
• Wipe down the controllers with the sanitation wipes.
• Plug all controllers back into their charging stations.
• Lock the door behind you and return the key to the front desk of W35-297 (second floor administrative offices of the Z-center).

You can reserve your Esports room time either in the app or from a laptop. To purchase a $5 hourly reservation in the app:

1. Ensure you have an MIT Recreation Account.
2. Download and login to the Mobile MIT Recreation app (Android or Apple).
3. Navigate to the profile tab at the bottom right
4. Select Payment methods and add new payment method
